Chelsea consider Brad Friedel move

Chelsea will reportedly make a move for veteran Tottenham Hotspur shot-stopper Brad Friedel, should Petr Cech exit Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Cech has been constantly linked with a switch away from the West London outfit, and reports now claim that the Czech international is ready to call quits on his Chelsea career having lost his first-team role to Thibaut Courtois.

The Blues managed to keep hold of Cech in January, but it is understood that the former Rennes man will depart from the club next summer in search of regular first team football.

According to The Mirror, experienced keeper Friedel has been identified as his potential replacement, as he could provide valuable advice to help the progression of Courtois.
