Arsenal in shock move for BELGIAN STRIKER

Arsenal have emerged as shock contenders to sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, The Mirror reports.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is understood to have been impressed with the Belgian international's prowess in the second half of the Premier League campaign.

According to The Mirror, the North London giants will move in for the Villa main man, should they fail to sign Porto's Jackson Martinez.

Benteke has scored 49 goals in 99 appearances for Villa so far.
