Everton reject Chelsea bid for John Stones

Everton have reportedly knocked back a bid from Chelsea for defender John Stones.

The England international has been in prominent form for the Toffees since he cemented his place in the first-team.

Recent rumours stated that Blues boss Jose Mourinho was keen on signing up a new central defender, as he seeks a long-term replacement for John Terry.

According to Sky Sports News, the Toffees have rebuffed a £20m offer from the Blues for 21-year-old centre-back John Stones.

Stones joined the Toffees from Barnsley for just £3m two years ago.
