Arsenal boss rules out Benzema move
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club have not made any kind of bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
Reports from The Sun had earlier claimed that the France international could make his way to the Emirates for a fee in the region of £40m this summer.
However, Wenger has dismissed the claims insisting that the story has been made up and the club are not in the race to sign up the former Lyon star.
"I don't know where that story has come from. But that's not happening at the moment." he told Sky Sports
Arsenal currently have Oliver Giroud as their main striker, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott also capable of playing in the centre-forward role.
