Injury-plagued Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is among the top targets for incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola. The England international has had a difficult career at the Emirates with injuries denting his progress.

Sources reveal that the Citizens could lodge a formal bid for Wilshere after Guardiola placed him at the top of his shortlist for the upcoming transfer window.

The Spaniard is also said to be confident of player's abilities despite his injury troubles over the past couple of seasons.

Wilshere, 24, has been tipped to make Roy Hodgson's squad for this summer's European championships in France.
