Leicester move for Yevhen Konoplyanka
Premier League holders Leicester City have made an approach for Sevilla forward Yevhen Konoplyanka amid doubts over the future of Jamie Vardy. The Ukraine international has been previously linked with the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old joined Sevilla on a Bosman from Dnipro last summer despite strong interest from several English clubs.
However, his stay in Spain has been far from being fruitful with a fair share of his gametime coming from the substitutes' bench.
Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo says the Foxes have held initial negotiations with the Europa League champions over a potential deal for the attacker.
Claudio Ranieri's side are also hopeful that Sevilla lower their asking price with the player's release clause standing at a hefty £31m.
Konoplyanka made just 15 league starts for his club last term.
