Man Utd fail with Henrikh Mkhitaryan bid
Manchester United have had an offer rebuffed for Borussia Dortmund attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian international is eager to ply his trade in a fresh league.
The Mirror says the Red Devils had tabled a £19m offer for the versatile player with Jose Mourinho eager to bolster his midfield options ahead of the new season.
However, the approach was swiftly turned down with BVB determined to keep hold of the 27-year-old after losing Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan to Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively.
The Dortmund outfit are confident of securing Mkhitaryan's future despite the player being in the final year of his contract.
League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea have also shown interest in the playmaker.
