Martin Skrtel to seal Fenerbahce move
Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel is reportedly close to finalizing a summer move to Fenerbahce. The Slovakian has been on the look out for a new club following a frustrating spell under Jurgen Klopp.
Reports earlier suggested that the 31-year-old could be heading to Besiktas after his agent held crunch negotiations with the Turkish champions.
However, according to The Telegraph, the player has decided to agree terms with fellow rivals Fenerbahce, who had no problems matching the Reds' £5m valuation.
Should the move go as planned, Skrtel could find himself playing alongside former Premier League duo in Nani and Robin van Persie.
Skrtel has amassed 319 appearances for the Reds since his debut in 2008.
