Arsenal back in for Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal back in for Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal are set to revive their interest in Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette after they failed in their approach to sign Jamie Vardy. The England international put a dent to the Gunners transfer ambitions after he agreed a new long-term contract with Leicester City.
The Mirror says the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has turned his focus towards Lacazette, who has been in fine form for Lyon over the past year.
It is added that the 66-year-old will hold negotiations with the player's representative in France this week ahead of a potential move to the Emirates.
Lyon currently rate their player in excess of £40m, and this has cooled down interest from the likes of West Ham United and Atletico Madrid in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old netted 23 goals in all competitions for Les Gones last term.
