Arsenal Hunting Options for A Striker

Arsenal Hunting Options for A Striker

Arsenal Forward Options

Arsenal has been lacking a great finishing quality. Over the last decade they have been struggling to find a striker that can bag 25-30 goals a season. These fantastic players are the players that I think Arsenal should buy to mount a very good title challenge.

The First Target for Arsenal:

Mauro Icardi:

Mauro Icardi has been heavily linked to Arsenal ever since Vardy has snubbed Arsenal.  Mauro Icardi had a great season last season.  Arsene Wenger offered £32m pounds for Icardi. He scored, in the Seria A, 16 goals in 34 games. You may see I put 25-30 goals a season but Icardi is a player that can step up. He is a young prospect and only 23. He has lots of room for potential and would probably be one of the world’s best in the coming years if he plays good.

The Second Target for Arsenal:

Romelu Lukaku:

Romelu Lukaku has been linked to Arsenal. Again after Vardy’s snubbed Arsenal Lukaku is another target. Lukaku didn’t play too well towards the end of last season. He looked to be the top scorer at the start of the season. He almost played all the games in the league but he missed out one. He scored 18 goals and almost topped the Van Nistelrooy record. He scored 8 in a row. He has been playing well in the euros. In the group games he has scored 2 goals in 3 games. Overall I think this will be a good signing because he is strong and can retain possession and can easily score bangers left right and centre. I’d rather this signing than Icardi because Lukaku has settled in the premier league with Everton.  They will have to pay top money maybe in the region of £30m to £49m.

The Third Target for Arsenal:

Islam Slimani:

Slimani has been very much linked with Arsenal like the other two. Slimani has been playing in the Portuguese League as a major League. He has scored 32 goals in 42 appearances.  Substantially more than the other 2 forwards.  Arsenal have offered £23m offer for the Algerian striker.

These are the players I think Arsenal should go for to pull off a title challenging season.

My First Target for Arsenal is:

Gonzalo Higuain:

Higuian is a top striker. He is proven in the Seria a. Higuain has scored 42 goals in 51 games this season. He will score 30goals in the EPL. Not necessarily the first season but maybe the second. Although he is getting on a quite bit he will still be good. In my opinion he will turn out to be better when he is older. He has been going up in every season he has played with Napoli. He wasted talent at Real Madrid and found great form in the Seria A with Napoli.  I think they will have to pay at least £51m to £61m to get this player. Liverpool is a transfer rival on this deal.

My Second Target for Arsenal is:

Alvaro Morata:

I know he has recently moved backed to Real Madrid but I don’t think he is going to play every game. So I think he should go on a 2 year loan deal at Arsenal and if he has been playing well they should offer £44m to £52m. Although he hasn’t scored that much, due to the astonishing season Dybala had the Juventus Manager had to put Dybala instead of Morata, he will play most games for Arsenal and score due to Sanchez and Ozil supplying them.  He only scored 15 goals.

My Third target for Arsenal will be: (this target is only a backup if Giroud wants to leave)

Christian Benteke:

He is a great player. He didn’t get to play as much but he will be a great backup for any of these options. He is a Belgium International and a Liverpool player. He wouldn’t go for much due to his lack of form. He will probably only cost £11m to £21m. He is good player with height and head power. Not only can he use his head but he can use his feet too!

My Final Target Will be: (another Back up option)

Odion Ighalo:

Ighalo had an unbelievable premier league debut season.  He has scored 17 goals last season for Watford. I think he will be a key player for Arsenal in the cup games. He has pace and agility and a good finish. He is a cup game player. He might even get a Champions League game to top it all off. If he didn’t go to Arsenal he will be a key player for Watford.

Note: the last four players were my opinion.
