Crystal Palace to sign Arsenal defender

Arsenal full back Carl Jenkinson is set to move away from the Emirates this summer as Alan Pardew continues his transfer window spending spree that has already seen the Eagles sign Andros Townsend and Steve Mandanda. Palace are to pay around £6 million for Jenkinson.
The former Charlton Athletic player has two years remaining on his Gunners contract and superb consecutive seasons on loan at West Ham. The Hammers have opted against making a permanent transfer move for Jenkinson and the England international will move to Crystal Palace instead.
Pardew is known to be a huge fan of Jenkinson having monitored him twice when managing Newcastle United. Palace are confident that a deal can be wrapped up in mid July and negotiations for the transfer of the defender's signature will be completed in early pre-season. West Ham decided against making a move for Jenkinson after pursuing other defensive targets.
