Liverpool weigh up bid for Max Meyer
Liverpool are prepared to continue their spending spree with a move for Schalke 04 midfielder Max Meyer. The 20-year-old has established himself as a regular at the Bundesliga outfit.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been a huge admirer of the youngster since his time at BVB, and he is now set to step up his interest in the German international.
German source Bild says the Reds are lining up a £28m bid for the midfielder, who was previously on their radar in 2014.
Schalke are for now reluctant to let go of their asset with fellow teammate Leroy Sane on the verge of a big club move.
Despite his tender age, Meyer has appeared in 95 league games for his club.
Liverpool have already completed the signings of Joel Matip, Loris Karius, Sadio Mane, Alex Manninger and Georginio Wijnaldum this summer.
