Ashley Williams to join Everton
Ashley Williams is set to end his eight-year association with Swansea City after Everton settled on a £10m sum for his transfer. The Welshman has been a key figure for the Swans since their time in League One.
Ronald Koeman's side were strongly linked with the centre-back during the previous week, and it is now official that a transfer agreement has been finalized between the clubs.
The 31-year-old had his stand-out moment this summer as he guided Wales to the semi-final stage of Euro 2016.
Williams will be expected to command the Toffees backline next season with Phil Jagielka nursing a hamstring injury whilst John Stones is nearing a switch to Manchester City.
The defender, who was previously on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool, appeared in 346 outings for Swansea City.
