Adidas store gives Pogba to Man Utd hint

Paul Pogba news

Did Adidas inadvertently confirm Pogba as a United player?

An Adidas store in Paris has inadvertently given a hint that Paul Pogba is no longer a Juventus player, as they are already selling the new Juventus shirts with young striker Paulo Dybala's name on the back on the number 10 jersey, the squad number that Pogba was allocated last season.

Many people are reading into this that the deal for Pogba to return to Manchester United is as good as done, and the Italian club have already given his old number to their new star, Dybala.

Pogba has been linked with a world record breaking move to United for several weeks now, and it finally appears that a deal could be close.

The Telegraph is even reporting that The Red Devils could tie up a £100 million deal for Pogba as early as today (Thursday 4 August), while Sky Sports News HQ claims United are set to announce the deal by Monday (8 August).

The deal to take Pogba back to Old Trafford will smash the world record for the highest transfer fee ever paid, eclipsing the £85.6 million that Real Madrid forked out to sign Welsh winger Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

Pogba initially joined United from Le Harve as a 16-year-old in 2009. The Frenchman became one of the hottest prospects in the club's academy, starring for the youth an reserve teams.

However, in 2012, Pogba decided to leave United having grown frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities he was being afforded by Sir Alex Ferguson, and joined Juventus when his contract expired.
