Man City revive John Stones pursuit
Manchester City are prepared to make a fresh bid for Everton's John Stones following a defensive crisis at the club. The Citizens are currently short at the back after Nicolas Otamendi joined Vincent Kompany in the physio room.
Pep Guardiola's side had earlier failed with a £40m offer for the England international whilst their attempts to offer Wilfried Bony as part of the deal also fell through.
According to The Express, the Citizens will go all out for the centre-back this time around with Pep unlikely to count on the services of Eliaquim Mangala and Jason Denayer.
An improved £50m sum is likely to be made with Samir Nasri set to be offered as makeweight in the proposed agreement.
Nasri has been accused of gaining weight in recent weeks, and this has urged Pep to place him on the transfer market.
Stones joined the Toffees from Barnsley for just £3m in 2013. He has since appeared in 95 games in all competitions.
