Chelsea to meet Spurs in final
Chelsea will meet Tottenham in the Carling Cup final on the 24th of February, as a Joe Cole second half strike won the second leg 1-0 over Everton and 3-1 on aggregate.
A game which Chelsea took very seriously with a full team and thoroughly deserved the victory based on the performaces over the two legs.
Everton's best chances came from the boots of Phil Neville and Phil Jagielka whose shots were saved by Petr Cech.
Avram Grant was full of praise for his teams performance.
"That was a big test of character. The players are doing a great job and so are my staff," said Grant.
"We're pleased to be in the final. Chelsea try to win every competiton they are involved in."
However Chelsea never really looked trouble and every time they broke looked likely to score with Nicolas Anelka coming close hitting the bar.
The goal scored by Cole was beautifully taken, a fantastic Malouda pass was taken down perfectly by Cole and a powerful right-foot strike gave Howard no chance.
