Joel Campbell agrees Sporting move
Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has agreed to join Sporting Clube de Portugal on a season-long loan. The Costa Rican is currently undergoing a medical with the Lisbon outfit.
The 24-year-old had his breakthrough season last term as he got his chance to impress following injuries to Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
However, with the emergence of Alex Iwobi at the Emirates, his playing time was reduced, and this led to suggestions he could pursue a new club over the summer.
According to The Express, Campbell will link up for Sporting on a temporary basis after it became evident that he would play no part for Arsene Wenger's side this season.
Campbell netted four goals in 30 games for the Gunners during the previous campaign. He was recently part of his national team that were knocked out in the group stages of the Copa America Centenario.
