Carlos Bacca lifts lid on failed transfer
Reported Arsenal target and AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has revealed that he failed to earn a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the recently concluded transfer window.
The Colombia international, who also attracted interested from West Ham United, was expecting to join Les Parisiens over the summer before they reached their limit on non-EU players.( players holding European passports )
"Emery is the most important manager I've had during my career. The best one too. PSG made a great choice appointing him. They also tried to sign me. There were contacts with my agents, but the deal collapsed as they had no slots available for non-EU players." he told Cadena Cope.
Thiago Silva. Lucas Moura, Maxwell and David Luiz were the four holding the positions, but with the latter off to Chelsea on deadline day, Unai Emery's side have a spot vacant to recruit Bacca in the New Year.
Bacca joined the Rossoneri from Sevilla in 2015, and notched 20 goals in all competitions last season.
