Giggs back on Swans radar

Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs is once again being linked with the managerial role at Swansea City. The Welshman was in the reckoning for the position last year before the Welsh outfit opted to recruit Francesco Guidolin.

The Telegragh reports that the Swans could return for the Red Devils legend with the future of Guidolin on thin ice.

The Italian is a 'dead man walking' at present following his side's dismal start to the league campaign, coupled with the ill-treatment of first-team players in Ki Sung-yueng and Neil Taylor.

Club chairman Huw Jenkins had proposed a change of management over the summer but the club's new American owners block the decision.

But, with the way the Swans have gone since then, Guidolin could be axed before next month's international break, paving for Giggs to takeover the reigns.

The 42-year-old cut ties with his beloved Manchester United shortly after Jose Mourinho's arrival at Old Trafford in May.
