Ben Arfa could be sold by PSG in January

AC Milan are prepared to rival Southampton in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Hatem Ben Arfa in January. The Frenchman has fallen out-of-favour at Les Parisiens despite only joining the club in the summer.

Ben Arfa had a top season with Nice during the previous campaign where he bagged 18 goals and six assists in all competitions, and this earned him a move to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

However, his time in the French capital has been rather dull with Unai Emery reluctant to play him in the first-team unless he reduces his body weight whilst also show discipline in training.

Italian outlet Calciomercato says Les Parisiens are willing to offload the attacker in the winter transfer window, should he not improve on his present situation.

The Rossoneri are expected to spend big under the new Chinese ownership, and it is believed that Ben Arfa is among the leading candidates in their shortlist.

Meanwhile, Southampton boss Claude Puel enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Ben Arfa in his time at Nice, and it is thought that he will try his best to lure the Frenchman to St.Mary's this winter.
