Francis Coquelin happy with competition for places
Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is content on fighting for his place in the starting line-up. The Frenchman was a regular for Arsene Wenger this season before he suffered a minor injury last month.
The 25-year-old had began the season as the first-choice alongside Santi Cazorla in the centre of the park.
However, he sustained a minor ligament problem during the win over Chelsea, and this has seen Granit Xhaka take advantage of his situation.
Xhaka received a straight red card against Swansea City for a reckless foul, and his domestic ban could earn Coquelin a return to the starting line-up.
Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Ludogorets, Coquelin insisted one should expect competition for places at a club of Arsenal's stature.
He is also willing to give it all in training with Mohamed Elneny being the other, who could feature as the anchorman.
Coquelin has been with Arsenal since the age of 17.
