Roma make loan attempt for Memphis Depay

Depay off to Roma?

AS Roma have reportedly offered a temporary deal for Manchester United's Memphis Depay with an obligation for a permanent switch at the end of the season.

The Netherlands international has seen himself fall out of favour at Old Trafford this term with Jose Mourinho opting to play the likes of Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Jese Lingard ahead of him in the pecking order.

Tuttomercato claims that the Giallorossi have tabled a loan bid for the versatile attacker as they seek to cover the absence of Mohamed Salah, who will be Egypt for the African Cup of Nations in January.

It is added that the Capital outfit are open to the prospect of a permanent £21m deal, should Memphis impress in his short stint at the Stadio Olimpico.

Depay has yet to make a league start for Manchester United this season.
