New contract for Eden Hazard
Premier League leaders Chelsea are set to open contract negotiations with Eden Hazard this month following his impressive form in the top flight.
The Belgian footballer has been one of the stand-out performers for the Blues this season, and his showing alongside Diego Costa has been a thrill to watch for the club's faithful.
Hazard has been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid in recent days, but he is assured that he will stay put with Chelsea for the next season.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the club's hierarchy will begin talks over a proposed one-year extension for the attacker whose deal is due to expire in 2020.
The former Lille man will also be rewarded with a wage rise on his £200,000-a-week wages after having found his best form under Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Hazard is expected to play a part against Manchester United in Monday night's FA Cup quarter-final clash as Chelsea seek to better their chances of achieving a domestic double.
