West Ham see Liverpool ace as Carroll replacement
West Ham United are prepared to offload Andy Carroll to one of the top clubs in China in order to accommodate the arrival of Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge in the summer.
Carroll, 28, had been the subject of multiple bids from the Chinese Super League last month, but it is understood that the Hammers stalled on a potential agreement due to the lack of striking options.
However, the club still have an eye on making a decent sum from their former club-record signing who have struggled with injuries through his Hammers career.
The Sun reports that the east London outfit would be tempted to sell Carroll in the summer, should one of Chinese clubs retain their interest in his services.
It is added that the club have already earmarked a potential replacement with Sturridge being the preferred choice to lead the line.
Sturridge has also had his fair share of niggles over the past few years, but West Ham United are prepared to offer him an extended run when fit - something Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to do at Liverpool.
