Arsenal are reportedly planning a potential move for Valencia's Jose Gaya ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The Spain under-21 international has been long linked with a Premier League move with rivals Manchester United previously being credited with an interest.

According to The Star, the north London giants are eyeing a summer deal for the highly-rated full-back, who is also on the radar of Manchester City.

Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is keen to reinforce his full-back options in the summer, and he is prepared to offer Eliaquim Mangala as makeweight in a proposed move for Gaya.

Mangala has impressed in his temporary stint at Los Che this term, and the Spanish side may be tempted to accept the deal as they can not afford to match City's £16m valuation.

Nevertheless, Arsene Wenger's side are willing to make a move for the left-sided defender - though a deal for Sead Kolasinac is at an advanced stage.

Kolasinac, currently of Schalke, is apparently close to finalising a Bosman transfer to the FA Cup finalists at the end of the season.
