Arsenal and Spurs to fight it out for Zaha
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will both compete in the summer to complete the signing of Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha. Reports today suggest that the teams could be willing to pay up to £30 million for the skilful winger.
Zaha has consistently impressed with his Premier League displays this season, particularly since the arrival of Sam Allardyce at the club. Tottenham were said to be the favourites to sign him in the next transfer window, but now The Sun reports that Arsenal will challenge them for his signature.
The report suggests that Arsene Wenger is interested in Zaha to add to his attacking options for next season, even if star player Alexis Sanchez stays at the club. With two top teams interested, Crystal Palace may demand fees of up to £30 million to allow one of their star players to leave.
In order to beat their rivals to the signing, Arsenal may offer a part exchange deal to Crystal Palace, who are said to be interested in both Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson, in order to strengthen themselves ahead of the next Premier League season.
