Man City to offer Jason Denayer in Sanchez deal?

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to offer defender Jason Denayer in a proposed deal for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez in the summer.

The Chile international has no signs of extending his current deal at the Emirates, and he could be sold as he enters the final year of his Gunners contract.

According to The Sun, the Citizens are lining up an ambitious attempt to sign the South American attacker despite the Gunners reluctance to sell him to a direct league rival.

Sanchez has amassed 24 goals and 14 assists for the Gunners during the ongoing campaign, and his future in north London could be dependent on whether the club qualify for the Champions League or not.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has recently suggested that his side will keep hold of Sanchez next season regardless of his contractual status, but a £50m sum could be something hard to turn down.

Denayer had been credited with an interest from Arsenal during the previous summer transfer window, and this is one Pep Guardiola will seek to exploit as he looks to lure Sanchez to the Etihad.

The Belgium international has turned out 23 times for Sunderland in a season-long loan spell this season.
