West Ham planning Pablo Zabaleta bid
West Ham United are prepared to offer a Premier League lifeline to Pablo Zabaleta once his contract expires with Manchester City in the summer.
The Argentina international has been a consistent performer for the Citizens over the years, but his future appears bleak with Pep Guardiola unlikely to offer him an extension.
According to The Sun, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will look to move in for the experienced defender as he seeks to find a suitable option on the right side of the defence.
The Hammers have chopped and changed their options in the right-back position this term, and Bilic is keen to add Zabaleta, who has performed at a fairly decent level for the Mancunian giants.
Bilic had been underfire over his managerial position at the London stadium, but it appears that he will get the backing of the club's hierarchy ahead of this summer.
Zabaleta has appeared over 300 times for Manchester City since arriving from Spanish club Espanyol in the summer of 2008.
