Spurs unperturbed by Dier speculation

Tottenham Hotspur are unconcerned over the ongoing speculation linking Eric Dier with a summer move to Manchester United.

The England international has been recently associated with a £40m switch to Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho keen to bolster his midfield options ahead of next season.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had recently suggested that the club would not be offering a wage hike to their first-team players despite their standout season this term, but in spite of this, they are confident that Dier would stay put at the club.

Dier, who has been deployed as part of Spurs' back three, signed a new five-year deal worth £50,000-a-week in September with the club keen to keep hold of their British core.

The former Sporting man has appeared in a total of 43 outings for Spurs this term with Mauricio Pochettino operating him in both the midfield and defence.

Apart from Dier, right-back Kyle Walker has also been linked with a proposed switch away from White Hart Lane with Manchester City prepared to pay big for his services.
