Atletico Madrid target EPL duo
Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning an ambitious double swoop for Leicester City's Jamie Vardy and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez this summer.
The Spanish club bowed out of the Champions League last night following a 4-2 aggregate semi-final defeat to cross-city rivals Real Madrid, and this has put them in a precarious position over the future of Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann has been heavily linked with an £89m move to Manchester United in recent weeks with sources suggesting that he has already finalised terms over a long-term deal.
According to The Independent, via Sport, Foxes marksman Vardy is among the top names in the Atleti shortlist following his impressive form which has seen him net seven goals in his last 10 league outings.
On the other hand, the Gunners are also looking at the prospect of signing Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, who has been reluctant to extend his Emirates contract beyond next season.
As of now, Atletico Madrid are restricted from signing any players due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban which could be lifted by the Court of Arbitration of Sport during the summer.
