Inter Milan have reportedly tabled a £20m offer for Atletico Madrid's Angel Correa despite the Spanish's club ongoing transfer ban.

The La Liga outfit broke rules protecting under-age players, and this restricts them from signing new recruits until the turn of the year.

Despite this, Marca claims that the Nerazzurri have lodged a £20m sum in an attempt to test Atleti's resolve during the summer transfer window.

Correa, who is a full Argentine international, signed for Atleti from San Lorenzo in May 2014, but he did not join the club until December owing to a heart surgery.

He made his first-team debut eight months later, and has since notched eight goals in 58 league outings for the Capital-based club.

Correa was restricted to just 10 league starts last term playing second fiddle to the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres, and Kevin Gameiro, and move elsewhere could benefit his national team selection ahead of the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next year.
