Donnarumma on Manchester United radar

Donnarumma has become Milan's first choice goalkeeper at just 18 years old.

Gianluigi Donnarumma's announcement that he wants to leave current club AC Milan could have come at the right time for Manchester United, as the youngster could be the man to replace current goalkeeper David de Gea

The imminent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid could affect Donnarumma's future, with speculation mounting that Manchester United are willing to offer de Gea as part of a deal.

That would leave Manchester United looking for a replacement between the posts and Donnarumma certainly has the ability to do so.

Despite his young age, Donnarumma has established himself in Serie A and looks certain to be the long term replacement for the legendary Gianluigi Buffon for the Italian national team.

Donnarumma has a year left on his Milan contract, but as he appears to be growing more unsettled by the day, they face the possibility of losing him on a free if they don't let him go this summer.

Italian fans have not taken well to Donnarumma's decision to leave AC Milan, leading to the Italy v Denmark fixture at the under 21 European Championships being temporarily postponed as stacks of fake money were thrown towards him, whilst others held banners calling him "Dollarumma".
