Andy Carroll on Everton's radar?
Everton are reportedly weighing up a surprise deal for Andy Carroll in the January transfer window. The West Ham United striker has been identified as a £20m target for the Toffees, who are looking to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was keen to pursue the services of Arsenal's Olivier Giroud in the summer, but the Frenchman decided against making the move to Goodison Park.
Since then, Atletico Madrid's Kevin Gameiro has been linked with a move to Merseyside, although Carroll is the top name in the Toffees shortlist, The Sun claims.
Carroll has produced a number of stellar performances in the Premier League, but injuries have restricted him from becoming a regular in the West Ham United lineup.
The England international has just over 18 months left on his present deal with the Hammers, and Koeman is confident that a fee of around £20m could be sufficient to do business in the New Year.
