Antonio Conte offers massive injury boost on N'Golo Kante
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed that N'Golo Kante could make his first-team comeback before the November international break.
The France international sustained a hamstring injury during a World Cup qualifier game against Bulgaria earlier this month, and he has since taken no part in the Blues' outings against Crystal Palace and AS Roma.
Initially, it was claimed via ESPN that Kante could be sidelined for the best part of four weeks with the muscle problem, but Conte has now offered a positive update with a second scan suggesting that he could return much earlier.
He told reporters via ESPN: "I hope to have Kante back before the international break, he is progressing well – the scan was better than before. He could be an option (For Roma or Manchester United). If Kante is available I will be very happy."
Chelsea have failed to win their recent games in Kante's absence, and things don't get better for the weekend with Tiemoue Bakayoko having suffered a minor groin strain versus AS Roma.
Andreas Christensen is a probable candidate to partner Cesc Fabregas when the Blues entertain high-flying Watford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
