West Ham United leading pursuit of Liverpool striker
West Ham United are reportedly heading the queue to secure a temporary move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings. The former Burnley has earned just 20 minutes of first-team football this term after recovering from back-to-back knee injuries.
Ings played a cameo role coming off the bench in the 2-0 League Cup defeat to Liverpool in September, and Jurgen Klopp has since kept the 25-year-old in the reserves in order to work on his fitness.
According to The Sun, the England international is likely to be loaned out during the winter transfer window in order to gain valuable playing time elsewhere.
New West Ham manager David Moyes is understood to be a huge admirer of the striker's talents, and he is supposedly planning to sign Ings at the turn of the year, having failed to recruit him at former club Real Sociedad.
Ings has just one cap to his name with the England national side, and he looks far off from making another comeback unless he puts in a string of top-notch performances wherever he plys his trade next year.
