Mo Salah wanted for world record fee

Salah sits above Harry Kane in the Premier League scoring chart

Mo Salah has been a sensation this season as he made his Premier League return with Liverpool and currently sits top of the goalscoring charts, which is made even more impressive by the fact that he cost them just £34 million from Roma last summer. His performances have not gone unnoticed and now some of Europe's top club are preparing to make a move for the Egyptian, which could see him become the world's most expensive player.

The form of Salah and his combination play with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have made Liverpool a force to be reckoned with in attack and made the departure of Philippe Coutinho from Anfield run relatively smoothly.

Now, with the summer transfer window approaching and the 25-year-old boasting stats that sit near the best in Europe, the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be ready to make an offer for the attacker which would exceed the £198 million which PSG paid for Neymar last year.

Liverpool will undoubtedly be desperate to keep hold of Salah as Jurgen Klopp looks to build on this season's progress and launch a serious title challenge next season, but as it proved with Coutinho's move to La Liga, money talks and if these teams are determined to land the signing of Mo Salah, it is likely that they eventually will.

The Merseyside club still has a chance of silverware this season, with an all Premier League, Champions League quarter-final against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to look forward to, which will see two of England's best attacking sides going head-to-head on the European stage.
