Liverpool plan surprise bid for Stoke City attacker on Salahs recommendation

Salah wants compatriot Sobhi at Anfield next term

Liverpool could reportedly make a shock attempt to sign Stoke City attacker Ramadhan Sobhi who has personally been recommended by Mohamed Salah.

The former Al-Ahly ace has struggled to adapt to Premier League football with the Potters, and he has managed just three goals in 41 appearances for the club.

Despite this, Salah is said to rate his Egyptian compatriot highly, and he has supposedly recommended the winger to Jurgen Klopp ahead of the summer, TeamTalk reports.

Sobhi, who is regarded as an important player for the Egyptian national side, is likely to set back Liverpool by at least £15m in the summer, but it could be worth the risk in order to keep the club's top-scorer happy.

Salah has had a stormer of a debut season with Liverpool with 36 goals across all competitions, and he is presently only behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi in the goalgetters list across Europe's top-five leagues.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a potential world-record move to Real Madrid in the summer, but Liverpool's hierarchy are expected to rebuff any offers for their leading performer.
