Arsenal flop eyeing return after nightmare loan spell
Spanish winger Lucas Perez is hoping to revive his club career with Arsenal next term following a disastrous loan spell with Deportivo La Coruna.
The 29-year-old had been desperate for a return to A Coruna last summer as he sought to enhance his chances of representing Spain at the World Cup.
However, since his switch, not much has gone right for him or the club, and this has led to prospects against the forward, who was once fondly loved by the Deportivo faithful.
According to Evening Standard, the attacker is now eyeing a comeback with the Gunners, although he now has to deal with the additional competition from the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Nevertheless, he could have a future with the north London side, considering the club are in need of a new wide player after the exits of Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott this term.
Perez has contributed four goals and four assists in 26 La Liga appearances for Deportivo, who are currently facing the prospect of relegation. The club are currently seven points adrift of safety with just nine games left in the season.
