Jose Mourinho to sanction Anthony Martial's sale?
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to sanction the departure of Anthony Martial, who is deemed to have struggled to maintain his consistency.
According to The Mirror, Mourinho is not pleased with Martial due to his languid style and failure to deliver on a regular basis for the club. As a result, the Portuguese tactician wants the club to recoup what they paid for the Frenchman with Gareth Bale identified as the leading replacement.
Nevertheless, the Welshman won't come on the cheap with Real having placed a £88m whilst United will have to offer him record wages in order to lure him to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are on course to finish in the top-four of the Premier League this term after picking up a 2-0 triumph over Swansea City on Saturday. The victory sees them 12 points ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea, and the Blues failure to beat Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon may pretty much assure them of Champions League football for next term.
