Jose Mourinho delivers Manchester United injury update
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he has a near full strength side to choose from for this weekend's derby against Manchester City.
The Red Devils have had persistent injury concerns over the course of the season, but speaking in an interview on Friday, Mourinho revealed that everyone is fit, barring Sergio Romero, he told MUTV: "Everybody is coming back but Sergio [Romero] is injured."
Romero, who is United's second-choice goalkeeper, has been sidelined for a few weeks with a knee problem which was sustained during a collision with Spain's Diego Costa on international duty.
Pep Guardiola's side are likely to make a number of changes with a view to the Champions League quarter-final second-leg versus Liverpool, and this may play into the hands of United tomorrow.
Nevertheless, they can expect to face a strong-looking side with John Stones, Fabian Delph, Bernardo Silva among others likely to participate for City in the derby.
City succumbed to a disappointing 3-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night, but Guardiola remains optimistic that City can turn the tie around.
