Chelsea linked with £70m move for Bayern Munich star

Chelsea are reportedly being associated with a £70m move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski at the end of the current campaign.

The Blues have endured another average season in the English top-flight, and they are expected to be changes in the offensive department ahead of next term.

According to The Star, the west London side are eyeing an audacious move for the Poland international, who has netted nearly 150 appearances during his time at time at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern are seemingly willing to part with Lewandowski for a fee of around £70m, but the Blues' chances of pursuing the marksman may lie on their eventual finish in the Premier League.

The Blues are currently seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the league standings, and their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League may put them out of contention for the Pole.
