Man Utd chase Leicester City central defender

Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire is Man Utd's top summer transfer target, according to multiple reports. With Phil Jones set to be sold by Jose Mourinho this summer, United are in the market to sign new defensive players.

Maguire has been impressive this season since his arrival at the Foxes and now the club are considering selling the defender, who is seeking a move to a bigger club. The player is valued at around £35 million by Claude Puel's side.

Maguire is expected to be on the plane to the World Cup in Russia this summer and is also believed to be Gareth Southgate's preferred choice in the centre of defence.

With Chris Smalling and Phil Jones' careers at United both under threat, Jose Mourinho is seeking a quick and preferrably local option as a replacement, with Maguire seen as the perfect signing.

Maguire has three years remaining on his contract at Leicester City and Arsenal are also amongst those considering a move for the player.
