Fulham eyeing permanent deal for Aleksandar Mitrovic
Fulham will reportedly seek to pursue a permanent deal for Newcastle United's Aleksandar Mitrovic, should they clinch promotion to the Premier League. The west London outfit face off against Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final on Saturday.
According to Evening Standard, the Cottagers are likely to invest in the forward department if their top-flight promotion is confirmed by the end of the week.
It is added that Mitrovic remains the prime candidate in their wishlist after having impressed in his temporary stint with the club during the second half of the campaign.
The Serbian has netted 12 goals in just 17 league appearances for the club and he could yet make the defining impact to seal the club's promotion at the Wembley this weekend.
Aside from Mitrovic, the Cottagers are also keeping a close watch on the developments of Magpies forward Dwight Gayle and could make an approach for his services in the current transfer window.
