Arsenal open talks with Sampdoria midfielder?
Arsenal have reportedly enquired over a possible move for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet.
The Belgian has impressed since making the switch to the Serie A two years ago and his progress has supposedly caught the eye of numerous European clubs.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the north London giants have entered the pursuit of the former Anderlecht man, who has a £22m release clause on his contract.
New Gunners boss Unai Emery currently has a £70m transfer kitty to spend on new recruits and Praet is being consider as a cheap alternative to AS Roma's Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Praet, who has represented Belgium at the senior level, has made 64 appearances for Sampdoria in the Serie A to date. He has previously been linked with Everton and West Ham United in the Premier League whilst Juventus are also said to hold a long-term interest in his services.
