Arsenal interested in German World Cup winner?

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the position of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze alongside West Ham United and Everton.
The 26-year-old, who bagged the World Cup winning goal for Germany in 2014, was excluded out of Joachim Loew's for this summer's tournament after failing to exhibit a similar run of form.
As such, there has been the talk of him pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere and Sky Sports News claims that the Gunners are tracking the midfielder alongside several other clubs including Valencia.
Dortmund re-signed Gotze from Bayern Munich in 2016 for a reported fee of around £22m and reports suggest that the German outfit will seek to recoup a similar sum through his sale this summer.
Gunners head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has already signed up former Dortmund players in Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang for the club and his close links with BvB may lead Gotze to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have already agreed a Bosman move to sign Juventus' Stephan Lichtsteiner and he is soon expected to be followed by the arrival of another Dortmund player in Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
