Caglar Soyuncu to decide Arsenal move this weekend
Defender Caglar Soyuncu, who has been linked with a summer transfer move to Arsenal, will make a decision on his future by Sunday evening. The impressive young centre-back, who has played with Freiburg since 2016, looks set to join Arsenal in a 24 million euro transfer move.
The Gunners' new manager Unai Emery is desperate to rebuild his squad ahead of the upcoming season and defence appears to be the area that Emery is most eager to rebuild. With the struggling form of Laurent Koscielny and Shkrodan Mustafi last season, Arsenal are on the verge of signing some top European defensive talent.
Soyuncu, who has appeared 15 times for Turkey's national team and previously played for Altinordu in his home country prior to moving to German minnows Freiburg, is also believed to have another offer from a top Bundesliga side - widely believed to be Bayern Munich - and the defender is rumoured to be in two minds about his next destination, preferring to stay in Germany if possible.
