Tottenham Hotspur express interest in Nice striker
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed an interest in acquiring the services of French striker Alassane Plea from Nice this summer.
The 25-year-old has been a consistent performer for Nice over the past two years and he ended the previous campaign with 21 goals across all competitions including 16 in the French Ligue 1.
As a result, the Frenchman has attracted plenty of transfer interest and according to The Sun, he has been identified as a possible option to play back-up to Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane next term.
It is added that Spurs could be prepared to make an opening bid worth £23m for the marksman with Mauricio Pochettino also looking to make progress in Europe next season.
Plea has previously represented France at the Under-21 level but he has yet to step into the senior side under Didier Deschamps. He has three years left on his existing deal with Nice.
