Everton express interest in signing Barcelona striker
Everton are reportedly in the running alongside Southampton to secure the services of Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer this summer.
The Spain international made a huge mark during his initial years with Valencia but the move to the Camp Nou has not quite benefited him with much of his gametime coming from the bench.
New Toffees boss Marco Silva has yet to make any signing since become appointed as the new head coach but according to Sport, his side are said to have enquired over Alcacer's availability.
The 24-year-old has netted 15 goals in just 22 starts for the Blaugrana in his career but his future still remains uncertain with Ernesto Valverde open to sanctioning his sale.
Barcelona bought Alcacer for £26.5m from Valencia two years ago and they are expected to demand a similar figure in order to part ways with his services.
He has three more years on his existing deal with the Blaugrana for whom he has made exactly 50 appearances. He also has 13 caps with the national team, scoring on six occasions.
