Arsenal still continuing contract talks with Aaron Ramsey
Arsenal are reportedly continuing negotiations with midfielder Aaron Ramsey over a new contract. The Wales international is presently tied to the north London club until June 2019.
Earlier this month, manager Unai Emery highlighted that Ramsey remains an important first-team player and he was optimistic that the hierarchy can strike a deal with the club's longest-serving player.
However, according to Sky Sports News, the Gunners have yet to reach a breakthrough over a fresh deal with the Welshman but talks are set to continue for the next few weeks.
Arsenal have endured significant losses over the previous financial year after losing both Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere on the cheap and they are now reluctant to go the same way with Ramsey.
Ramsey has previously indicated his excitement of working under new boss Emery and he was recently handed the captain's armband during the second half of the 8-0 friendly win over Boreham Wood.
