Roma keen on signing Arsenal star as Alisson replacement
Roma sporting director Monchi is reportedly keen on securing the services of Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech after they sanctioned the record sale of Alisson Becker to Liverpool.
The Giallorossi accepted a world-record £67m fee for a goalkeeper as Alisson headed to the Reds last week and they are now looking into a cost-cut option between the sticks.
According to The Mirror, Monchi may seek to lure Cech from the Emirates this summer with the assurance of cementing a regular role between the sticks next season.
The 36-year-old has already witnessed Bernd Leno sign for the Gunners to provide added competition and there are suggestions that the club may now recruit Yann Sommer, which could push him further down the pecking order.
Cech has also been linked with a possible return to Chelsea this summer with the Blues pondering over the sale of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid. He has just one year left on his current deal with Arsenal.
